Nokia 8800 - Time For A Review

After using the Nokia 8800 for a week, it is time for me to write a little review about my experience with Nokia 8800. ^^

What I think is good:

Firstly, I must admit that I am attracted to its simple and elegant design. It is luxury and indeed could be one of the new fashion phone icon.

The functions of the phone are user friendly (as like most of other Nokia phones do). The one touch menu button was easy to use and the menu is also easy to navigate. I also note that there will be an “explanation texts” pop up every time when you stay on the functional icons for around 15secs. This is very handy as it explains what the programmes/functions that I am going to select do.

The phone also comes with 4GB internal memory, which means there are enough spaces to store musics and pics. Moreover, the sound quality from the speaker is really clear and surrounded.

What I think is bad:
Although the phone was great in design as well as easy to use, there are few down sides. The main downside is the price tag that is set at AUD 2000 without contract. It is just too expensive for what it can offer. To be honest, you can get some other mobile phone with similar features at a lower price.

The camera is another downside, although it is a 3.2 megapixel camera and has a good zoom function but the quality of taken pics are not as good as it should be. The pics seem to be redish and not true colour (if you know what I mean^^)

When I played the video clip, I also have noticed that the phone could not keep up with its speed but this is only happened when I tried to do something else while the video was playing.

Another downside that is very minor but I would love to add is that the material is very prone to fingerprints! I personally do not like as it hides the elegant look of the phone.

Well, what can I say is that the phone is definitely great in design and would definitely be a great elegant piece to add to your hi-tech luxury life^^. But for people (including me) who are seeking to have lots of features and a good camera, this may not be the one.

~LVoe at First Sight With Nokia 8800~

Hi LVoers^^, Just want to update with you guys that after the long wait, Nokia 8800 has finally reached me!!! (after it was held at the custom for one week T_T) I am so excited and cannot wait to explore this luxury stylish phone ^^
To be honest, once I opened the box, it was LVoe at first sight!
Size: It is just right! Not too small, not too bulky.
Weight: It is heavier than I expected but not bad (considering that it is made from titanium and stainless steel).
Look: The design is simple but real elegant. It surely looks much better than the previous 8800. Well, I am really excited but now patiently waiting it to be charged. Will update to u guys more!

Hi guys!, it's been awhile since my last post. I am very busy with my work at the moment and I am sorry for not updating my blog T_T. This is also gonna be a quick one as well. I just found a photo of the bag from the Louis Vuitton Spring and Summer 2009 collection and LVoe to share with you guys.

WOW with Womworld and Nokia 8800!

I got an email yesterday from Donna of Womworld ( a blog sponsored by Nokia) who is kindly offers me to be one of the people to try out a Nokia 8800 Carbon Arte, a new couture like handset Nokia which are soon to release!

To be honest, I thought the email was a spam but after looking through Womworld and seeing couple of blogs that I LVoe (including Bagaholicboy and Mymanybags), I decided to reply back :) The phone will be sent via DHL Express and returned after a 2 weeks trial period. Now I just couldn't wait to explore this luxury-stlyish Nokia 8800!! Very exciting indeed!^^

Fine Jewerly from Gucci LVoe!

This is my first time I post about Gucci!^^ I also LVoe Gucci but not like addiction level :D. Anyway I found this interesting pieces of fine jewelry, ring and necklace, from Gucci that I am drooling over! They are limited edition that was done to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Gucci shop that has opened in eternal capital Rome.

The jewerly pieces have GG logo embossed on and heart which was hollowed through with the diamond which glitters in between. They come in 18K white gold and pink gold. LVoe GG!^^

According to Nitrolicious, 55DSL and Complete Technique have done a collaboration work to make this exclusive limited edition speaker pendant- only 55 pieces were made ! The speaker pendant made in resplendent black and gold precious metals is crafted with a Fifty Five DSL personalization. Each is serialized and numbered from 1 to 55 and stamped bearing a hallmark of the flagship’s home city- New York.

It was only available at the 55DSL New York flagship store on Friday 3rd October from 6:30pm to 8:30pm.

Marc Jacobs and Kaws has done a collaboration work to celebrate 10th Anniversary Mouse Flats. And here is what they came up, the sleek patent leather Mouse Flats. What makes it is more special is that they are limited to 200 pairs worldwide!

Where?: Colette (Paris), Original Fake (Tokyo) and Marc Jacobs flagship stores (US and London) will be the only stores that will carry these.

When?: Monday, September 29th.

Introducing A New Fashioned Mobile Phone

As we know Prada, Dolce & Gabbana and Armani have released mobile phones collection already and now it is Dior turn! Dior recently unveiled that they will be releasing a line of mobile phones hoping that it can boost their sales from only concentrating on their tradition fashion business inclduign watch and jewelry lines.

Dior phone would not have something in common like other fashioned mobile phones. Dior want to make it "BIG" by setting a retail at approx USD5000 when compared to other fashioned mobile phones that are retailed for approx USD600. Yep, it is about the price. However, Dior is hoping to make a hit by targetting to brand-hungry consumers in new markets such as China and Russia. Dior is expected to sell at least 10,000 of them a year at the beginning and hopes to reach annual sales of €200 million in the longer term.

Can they make a hit as they are expected? I guess we just need to see. Personally, I need to think twice becuase the price doesn't hook me at all. ^^

Crime of Fashion

May 15, 2008 -- A manager at a Marc Jacobs store in the West Village was busted for stealing $62,000 from the boutique, and admits he had "been doing it for a while," authorities said yesterday. - New York Post reported

Kyle Avila, 24, worked at the chic Marc by Marc Accessories store as a manager at 385 Bleecker St. for the past 11/2 years. The Kansas native, who also appeared nude for a Marc Jacobs tee, was busted for stealing $62,000 from the store.

Co-manager Mike Okerson was the one who noticed the missing dough while doing routine receipt reviews. Okerson had given Avila a chance to return the money, but Avila failed to show up with the money, so his colleague called the cops. He is now charged with grand larceny and remains in jail after failing to post $2000 cash bail set by the judge.

Esquire's 75th Anniversary

To cerebrate Esquire's 75th Anniversary, they have recreate some of the magazine's most iconice covers by working with some of the world' s well known fashion designers. Designers included Karl Lagerfeld, Vivienne Westwood, Dolce & Gabanna, Tommy Hilfiger, Luscus Ossendrijver, Alber Elbaz, Christopher Bailey, Donatella Versace, John Galliano and Giorgio Armani.

All of the works, with the exception of one, are based of covers designed by esquire's long time art director george lois. in his career with the magazine, he helped create 92 covers. New York’s M.O.M.A. is holding an exhibition about his career. The new photos were recently feted at an unveiling in Milan.

World Record For Titanic Blue Diamond~Anyone Interested?

A blue diamond of 13.39 cts. became the most important color diamond sold at auction anywhere in the world during the past 10 years, according to Christie's. Offered at auction house's in Geneva location on Wednesday, it achieved a world record price of $8.9 million.

"This impressive result is due to the scarcity of colored diamonds on the market, and to the great demand from collectors around the world for exceptional artworks and jewels that is currently dominating the auction world," said François Curiel, chairman of Christie's Europe.
